    1962

    Willy Berner founded URMA AG in Rupperswil, a village in the Swiss Canton of Aargau, where he first focused on contract manufacturing and the engineering of prototypes.

    Both his sons' names Urs and Markus were the inspiration for the brand name „URMA" which lives on until today.

    The world's first balanceable fine boring head is patented.
