URMA has been active in the machinery trade for over 20 years. The introduction of the ZORN "microone" micro machining centre now extends URMA's product range in the field of micro machining. Microone facilitates extremely precise machining on very small scales, such as those used in the watchmaking and medical industries.

ZORN microone can also be expanded with automatic cells. The automation module normally serves as a feeding and removal device. As an alternative or supplement, there is also the option of including additional manufacturing processes and linking other modules with each other.

ZORN microone is characterised by its compact and high-quality design: Both the 3-axis and the 5-axis micro machining centre require a footprint of just 0.9 m2 and are, therefore, much more compact than conventional CNC machining centres.

Maximum precision thanks to mechanical and thermal stability

The smaller the workpiece, the greater the demand for precision. The robust granite foundation of the ZORN microone absorbs all movements. This is because the precision-cut granite possesses high inherent rigidity and thermal and mechanical stability. The interaction between the temperature-controlled spindle and the axes, therefore, enables maximum repeat accuracy.
